Thursday night is party night at Bloodstock Manor and nothing says party more than ethereal Australian industrial-goths singing about serial killers. Okay, it's not the much-requested Vengaboys but with their mix of evocative visuals and ice-cold delivery, SKYND are sure to enthral the masses.
You see SKYND herself is one of the most powerful and quietly charismatic front people we currently have in metal. She possesses a quite extraordinary voice that is capable of simultaneously chilling your blood and also cracking glasses as far as Lichfield. Her demeanour is introverted and haunted, which makes her audio capabilities even more extraordinary.
Yes we will already be three sheets to the wind but SKYND will still own the slot because what they do is so different, so unique and so utterly captivating. As a wise man once said, "don't have nightmares”.
I just love Metal. I love it all. The bombastity of symphonic, the brutality of death, the rousing choruses of power, the nihilistic evil of black, the pounding atmospherics of doom, the whirling time changes of prog, the faithful familiarity of trad, the other worldlyness of post, the sheer unrefined power of thrash. I love it all!
